Designer Showcase Ep 03

In a world that frequently gravitates towards visual appeal, the true essence of interior design often gets overlooked. While beauty has its undeniable charm, the core of great design should be to serve the well-being and functionality of its occupants, and to resonate deeply with their individual needs.&nbsp; Ken had always assumed that the users who would hire an interior designer would be after aesthetics and forms. It really took him by surprise when he realised that the space he will be designing for is not after the &ldquo;look&rdquo; but is more concerned about the &ldquo;feel&rdquo;. In this first ever SIXiDES attempt at short story telling about the mission of an interior designer, we explore the concept of making spaces &ldquo;meaningful&rdquo; as opposed to just being &ldquo;beautiful&rdquo;. Based on a true story and written by Astley Ng.

SIXiDES’ first short film explores the deeper purpose of interior design through Ken’s journey, where he discovers that great design goes beyond aesthetics—it’s about creating spaces that resonate emotionally and functionally with their users. Written by Astley Ng and inspired by a true story.
